  • The objective of this section is to conduct a check of
    all associated documents are in order, current and accurately reflect the process
    being followed in the workplace.

  • CHECKS
  • Cabin - Access/egress, seating, seatbelt/loose objects/ fire extinguisher

  • Visibility - window screen, wipers, washers, mirrors, cameras

  • Electrical System - lights, flashing beacon, horn, reversing alarm, battery and connections

  • Hydraulics - Rams, hoses, leaks, wear, hydraulic fluid levels

  • Brakes - emergency and service, handbrake, brake fluid levels

  • Isolator/immoblisier switches and levels

  • Engine oil levels/leaks/condition

  • Coolant levels/radiator condition, leaks

  • Exhaust system intake/emissions

  • Drive belts and guards

  • Compulsory signs (including quick hitch safety) reflective tape, reflectors

  • Damage to panels/guards/cracks to chassis/frame/body

  • Wheels/tyres/tracks - wear/tension/pressure

  • Hitch and attachments (including buckets, pins, clips, lifting eye - Damage

  • Excavator arm linkage

  • Articulated joint/linkage (dumper/roller)

  • Guards and roll over protection
