Ambulance Readiness

**ACH CCT Team has a 15 minute mobilization time from the time the patient is accepted by a physician** Team may opt to go enroute prior to the patient being accepted if patient acuity is high.

Understands that the ACH RN, RT, and dispatch need to have a way to reach you at all times and to let them know where you are especially if you need to leave the hospital grounds.<br><br>

Competence in fueling locations and procedures

Understands the importance of disinfecting the patient care area and equipment in between each patient transport.<br><br>Keeping the crew cab and outside of ambulance clean.

Competence in using iPad for completing and sending all truck check and truck swap forms.

Competence in unit preparedness, including checking and restocking equipment.<br><br>Can identify equipment in ambulance.<br><br>Knows where to obtain equipment for restocking.<br><br>Understands onboard Medical air/O2 minimums and knows the procedure for changing tanks.<br>
Unit Failures

Capable of determining critical failures vs non-critical failures and how to trouble shoot.

Unit Swap

Knows how to swap equipment between ACH Units and into an SS Unit using the swap checklist on the iPad and how to place a unit out of service.

Knows what is contained in the SS Unit bag and the tank bag and where they are located.

Knows the procedure for requesting a SS Unit and emailing Scott Burford, ACH CFN, and SS ACH Supervisor confirming when it has been picked up and dropped off.
Preparing for and cleaning up after calls

Knows what additional equipment needs to be packed for every transport.<br>

Knows how to build crew on truck and build calls with SS dispatch.

Understands how to clean and remake equipment after calls and put equipment back.
Consents and Face Sheets

Capable of getting both ACH and SS consents signed by the parent/ legal guardian of the patient.<br><br>

Capable of faxing accepting facility face sheet to SS Billing Dept, attaching an ECG strip (when applicable), and placing them in ACH mailbox.
Communication

Demonstrates competence communicating ambulance and other important issues to oncoming staff/ EMTs by filling out the log and giving verbal report (when relevant).
