Housekeeping

Facility Equipment and Furniture

  • Ensure all racks and shelves maintain their structural integrity and are free from visible signs of bending, warping, or deformation.

  • Thoroughly examine all bolts, nuts, and fixtures securing racks and shelves to ensure they are properly fastened and tightened according to safety specifications.

  • No instances of broken, damaged, or missing bolts are observed.

  • Conduct a visual inspection of the surfaces of racks and shelves to identify any signs of corrosion, rust, or chipping paint.

  • Maintenance log is being maintained for all maintenance work done at facility. ( trollies , genset , Fans , Hand jacks )

  • Are all tables/stations in good condition or not? Evaluate surfaces, paints, fixtures etc

Offices furniture

  • The number of chairs available for managers is sufficient to meet the operational needs of the office.

  • Is there adequate sitting arrangement for the sellers? (verify the physical condition of all chairs in office areas. Ensure that there are no broken or damaged chairs, and promptly replace any chairs showing signs of wear and tear)

Electrical Equipment

  • Are Electrical DB, fans and other electrical equipment protected with adequate safety barriers?

  • Are there any faulty electrical fixtures? (This includes work-station lights) Is building wiring in good condition? (Naked wires etc.) Things to check: Check for any visible signs of damage, such as frayed wires, exposed conductors, or melted insulation.<br>Inspect electrical equipment for discoloration, burn marks, or other anomalies that may indicate overheating.

Employee Amenities

  • Is the toilet drainage and flush working properly?

  • Adequate handwashing facilities are available with soap and water.

  • Restrooms are stocked with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

  • Do all toilets have a proper door and door locks in good condition?

  • Are washrooms are cleaned and in good condition? (evaluate paint as well along with cleanliness, soap availability, water availability, flooring etc.)

  • Access to basic health amenities such as first aid kits and essential medical supplies.

  • Sufficient and well-maintained parking spaces for employees.

  • Kitchenette or cafeteria with necessary appliances for food and beverage preparation.

  • Are there ample fans in the warehouse to cater to the need of employees?

  • Is there a proper and clean ablution area for the employees?

  • Are enough lockers are available & employee lockers in working condition?

Emergency Lights

  • Emergency Lights available and are fully functional at all times along with labeled for easy identification

Pallet Jacks

  • Pallet Jacks are in good condition , There are no sharp edges. All ball bolts and fasteners are in good condition and no signs of leakage

  • Wheels and paints are in good condition

Delivery Trollies

  • Wheels are in good condition and atleast two of the four wheels are equipped with a swivel lock to prevent movement for both trolley

  • Check for any visible signs of damage or deformation in the frame, paint and structure of the trolley

  • All the bolts and rivets are present and secure . Free of rust and/or corrosion and is in good structure with stability.

Mobile Ladders & Delivery Trollies

  • All exposed surfaces of mobile ladder and trollies are free from sharp edges, burns, or rust and corrosion

  • At least two of the four wheels are equipped with a swivel lock to prevent movement for both trolley and ladders

  • Mobile ladder steps & upper platform are equipped with guardrails and steps uniformly spaced

  • All the bolts and rivets are present and secure . Free of rust and/or corrosion and is in good structure with stability.

Pest & Rodent & Birds Control

  • Is the warehouse pigeon/bird free?

  • Is any cat, dog, snake etc. observed inside the facility.

  • Are all the egress points closed?

  • Are monthly performance reports received from the vendor for the cases reported and other details?

Wooden pallets, plastic pallets

  • Pallets are in good condition, standardized and fumigated. No pallet observed broken.

  • No Split edges, nails or other sharp objects are observed at pallets.

  • There is no contamination of water, oil or other products observed where the pallet is stored.

  • Pallets must be regularly inspected and cleaned to avoid potential infestation, cross-infestation and contamination.

Waste Management

  • Waste bins are in adequate condition(not damaged) and good for use

  • Waste is properly labeled and disposed of according to regulations.

  • Regular disposal of general waste is conducted to prevent unpleasant odors and hygiene issues.

Temperature Control

  • Temperature requirements are maintained. Temeprature is regularly monitor and record is available.
