  • For vehicles equipped with an AED, a complete inspection of the AED unit is required monthly

Temperature Control Carry Case

  • In good condition

  • Unplugged from vehicle battery when ambient outdoor temperature is always above zero celsius

  • Green LED light inside the bottom of the case is lit when the case is plugged into vehicles battery

  • No paper or other flammable material is stored between the metal heating plate and the defibrillator

AED Condition

  • Is free of dirt/ damage/contamination

  • Connector socket (for pads) is free of cracks or damage

  • Flashing black hourglass indicates AED is ready for use Note: if the status indicator is not flashing consult user manual

  • Quick reference card present

  • Two sets of pads are sealed, undamaged, unexpired

  • Spare battery, within "install" before date

  • Fast response kit contents - Towel, scissors, razor, pocket mask, gloves, blank copy of AED incident form

  • Note: Corrective Actions, if any are required; Inform AED site contact person responsible for implementing
