Aerial Lifts (MIOSHA)

The manual for the operation of the lift prepared by the manufacturer is readily accessible for the operator's reference. If no manual can be sourced, employer has, supplied a replacement operator manual (i.e.: by using a manual for a similar device and/or creating a new manual that meets the legislative requirement).

The rated capacity of the lift is legibly marked on hoist and support structure (beams) and are legible from the ground/floor.

Clearance from obstructions are a minimum of 3 inches overhead, and 2 inches laterally.

Inspections of lifts (either "frequent"j or "periodic" as defined by the regulations) are conducted and documented.

Trolley stops are provided and are at a minimum as high as the radius of the wheel.

Proper clearances are maintained between lifts and electrical equipment.

Operator training is provided at a minimum of every 3 years; testing both knowledge and ability is required.
