1.0 Aircraft Details

  • 1.1 Aircraft Registration Number

  • 1.2 Name of Manufacturer/ Year/ Model and Type

  • 1.3 Date of Expiry of Airworthiness Certificate

  • 1.4 Date of Recent Service/ Inspection

2.0 Aircraft Inspection and Audit

  • 2.1 Is Aircraft Insurance in Place and Current?

  • 2.2 Is Certificate of Airworthiness in place and current?

  • 2.3 Is the Certificate of Registration in place and current?

  • 2.4 Is a copy of the approved flight manual available and are amendments up to date?

  • 2.5 Checklists are current and accessible.

  • 2.6 Operations Manual is current and accessible.

  • 2.7 Aircraft Flight Manual is current and accessible.

  • 2.8 ERSA/ Jeppesen/ Charts are current and accessible.

  • 2.9 Has the aircraft contain all of the required documents and equipment specified within the manufacturer’s specifications, regulatory authority and/or company’s policies and procedures?

  • 2.10 Are the flight bags up to date with the minimum items required by the company’s policies, procedures and by the regulatory perspective?

  • 2.11 Is there an approved Maintenance Release?

  • 2.12 Has maintenance release been completed correctly?

  • 2.13 Has the aircraft been maintained in accordance with the maintenance release, e.g it has not overflown hours or flown beyond inspection dates?

  • 2.14 Is there a weight and balance schedule / Empty Weight Statement and Loading System available?

  • 2.15 Ensure all seatbelts and shoulder restraints are serviceable.

  • 2.16 Ensure all exits and door opening instructions are clearly marked (internal and external).

  • 2.17 Ensure all fuel tanks clearly marked for fuel grade and quantity if required.

  • 2.18 Ensure all fuel selector markings are present.

  • 2.19 Ensure the compass card(s) are in date and are legible

  • 2.20 Ensure portable, fully charged fire extinguishers are clearly marked with next service due date, secure and accessible by student or instructor when normally seated and restrained. (If applicable)

  • 2.21 First aid kits shall is fitted, sealed and clearly marked with "next check due" date. (If applicable)

  • 2.22 Ensure the aircraft is free from loose articles (eg coins, pens and rubbish)

  • 2.23 Aircraft secured and control locks in place (Ropes/ Chokes/ Control Locks)
