Has Been Trained in Proper Weld Consumable Storage

• All Weld Wire must be stored in a clean dry area

• All Weld Rod (Stick) can be used within 4 hours of opening Hermetically Sealed Containers.

• Any weld rod not used within 4 hours of opening the container, must be stored in a Rod oven at 250 degrees. If your Weld rod Oven is not at temperature, see your foreman.

Has been trained in welding inspection

• Only CERTIFIED Welders are allowed to perform welds. -Please provide a copy of your welders certification card to your Foreman

• Welders will inspect their own welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 -This includes but is not limited to, the use of weld gauges, and other visual inspections. Foreman have a booklet that will help ensure a proper inspection.

• Welders have been instructed to place a mark near the completed weld joint, only when welding has been completed, and satisfactorily inspected.
