FFW Checks

  • All PPMs to be carried out in accordance with SOP

  • Main Store

  • All sales floor sensors to be checked against reading from Trend and actual reading at Sensor

  • Ensure all sensors on the sales floor are in place to be checked with BMS

  • The sensor should be located in an area representative of the entire control zone. This applies to additional sensors from other optimisers etc

  • Pendant sensors should be 600mm long located away from direct air flow patterns from diffusers.

  • Sensor is installed at a height of 1.5m in occupied spaces and at least 50 cm from any adjacent walls.

  • The sensor should be located in an area representative of the entire control zone. This applies to additional sensors from other optimizers etc

  • The sensor should be located away from heat sources e.g. TV walls

  • Ensure Outside temperature sensor is located in a North facing position and not exposed to direct solar radiation. Outside temperature sensors to be checked against reading from Trend and actual reading at Sensor

  • IS Trend on site. If so remember to call 0800 328 7700 to overide to check heating then remember to have trend reset to normal on completion.

  • Final Heating / pressurisation checks. Force heating on and check

  • Check Heater banks operating

  • Check All pumps running

  • Check Package units operating

  • Check All fans are operating correctly and fan belts are correctly fitted

  • Check All VSDs operating at 100% design speed when on demand and dropping to 80% when set point reached

  • Check that the supply air cuts out at design temp (This will not mean that it has the capacity as the outside air temperature will be higher than the winter, it will just show that it can hit the high limit)

  • Check all filters on air handling units to ensure maximum air flow can be achieved.

  • Check operation of cold aisle heating

  • Check operation of cold air retrieval

  • Check operation of front door air curtains

  • Check and measure air velocities from outlets on the sales area and balance accordingly ideal velocity 2-3 m second.

  • Measure the temperature in the cold aisle is it achieving design (16.5oC along middle of the aisle at 1.5metres)

  • Is the store achieving pressurisation ( this can be tested out of hours by closing all doors onto the sales floor and opening the front doors by 300mm and ensuring all AHUs are running at 100%) the velocity through the gap should be in excess of 1.5m/s

  • Check Freshair air dampers go to minimum outside air inorder to maintain store pressurisation.
