Record of Advice

  • A providere must, maintain a record of advice furnished to a client which must reflect the basis on which the advice was given, and in particular: a) a brief summary of the information and material on which the advice was based; b) the financial product which was considered; c) the financial product/s recommended with an explanation of why the product is likely to satisfy the clients identified need and objectives; d) where the product is a replacement, comaprison of feesm charges, special terms and conditions, exclusion of liability, waitign periods, loadings, penalties, excesses, restrictions or circumstances in which benefits will not be provided, between the terminated product and the replacement product; and reasons why the replacement product was considered to be more suitable. such record of advice must be provided to the client in writing.
