General Inspection For Field Equipment

  • Does all Audio Visual equipment in the room receiver power?

  • Is all visible cabling neatly secured with velcro and socked?

  • Are all cables labelled as per the approved Audio Visual schematics (ensure most recent drawings are being used).

General Inspection for the Rack

  • Is there a rack present in the room?

  • Is the rack able to be pulled out to a reasonable distance that provides serviceability to the back and sides?

  • Is all the equipment that are mounted on shelves fastened using appropriate methods? (Cable Ties are not allowed)

  • Are all cables labelled as per the approved Audio Visual schematics (ensure most recent drawings are being used).

  • Is all copper either shielded or terminated leaving none exposed?

  • Have all cables been installed with an adequate bend radius as recommended by the manufacturer?

  • Is there a centralised rack for all equipment in this room?

  • Is the rack able to be pulled out to a reasonable distance that provides serviceability to the back and sides?

  • Is all the equipment that are mounted on shelves fastened using appropriate methods? (Cable Ties are not allowed)

  • Has the system been test to ensure acoustic echo cancellation is working?

  • Has a Camera been installed?

  • Is the Camera installed in a position that views the entire audience?

  • Does the camera have Zoom/Tilt capabilities?

  • Can the camera be controlled via a remote or touch panel? (e.g. zoom & tilt functionality).

Sign Off

  • Display Manager confirm that the Audio Visual System installed meets the requirements described in the Audio Visual Specification.
