LADDER CHECKS

  • LADDER - Are the Ladder free from dents, cracks and damages?

  • LADDER - Are the feet of the ladder working properly and do they have slip-resistant pads?

  • LADDER - Do the Rung locks and spreader braces work correctly?

  • LADDER - Are there any signs of deterioration, dents or rust on the side rails?

  • LADDER - Are all the bolts and rivets secure?

  • LADDER - Are the steps and rungs free from oil, grease and other materials?

  • LADDER - Are the Ladders stored properly (when not in use)?

  • LADDER - Provide an in focus picture of the serial number or ID number on each ladder.

  • Are there any other defects observed?

  • Take a picture of any defects listed in this report.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER (FE) CHECKS

  • FE - Is there a Fire Extinguisher (FE) available?

  • FE - Is the FE easily accessible?

  • FE - Provide an in focus picture of the FE stored in its cradle.

  • FE - Are there any signs of damage?

  • FE - Is the gauge needle showing in the green?

  • FE - Is the inspection tag still fixed to the pin of the FE?

  • FE - Provide an in focus picture of the FE annual inspection date.

HARNESS CHECKS

  • HARNESS - Webbing: Are there any signs of damage such as bobbling/strained or badly pulled webbing, cracks, cuts or fraying as well as loose stitching or fading which may indicate the fibre structure has been compromised?

  • HARNESS - Buckles: Are all the rivets secure, buckles not bent, chipped or have sharp edges protruding and is all the stitching intact?

  • HARNESS - D-Rings: Is there any sign of distortion, fatigue or rust?

  • HARNESS - Plastic Loops: Are there any signs of broken, cracked or damaged loops?

  • HARNESS - Straps and rope: Are there any signs of fraying, broken fibres or loose stitching?

FIRST AID KIT CHECKS

  • FIRST AID KIT - Is there a first aid kit available and is it fully stocked?

  • FIRST AID KIT - Is there eye wash available and is it within date?

  • FIRST AID KIT - Provide an in focus picture of the First Aid Kit stored in its cradle.
