2. Visual Inspection & Lubrication

Visually inspect all components for signs of wear and damage

Lubricate required o-rings and sealing surfaces

3. Scrubber components

Is the scrubber safe to be used

How many hours has the scrubber been used for

Install scrubber and ensure all spacers and o-rings are in place

Connect temperature stick

Visually inspect the head and loom

Ensure battery compartments are securely tightened

Are the cells properly connected

4. Cylinders & Gases

Analyse Dil mix

Analyse O2

Analyse bail out and travel gas mix

Check cylinders are correctly labelled

Fit cylinders to unit and ensure they are in the correct positions

Slowly turn on O2 and Dil mix

5. Electronic Checks

Is handset functioning correctly

Are batteries working

Have all cells calibrated

Have the correct gas mixes been updated

6. Pressure tests

Perform positive pressure test and pass

Perform negative pressure test and pass

7. Pre- breathing

Pre breath unit for a minimum 2 minutes

Can the temperature header be seen on the hand display

Does the ADV work

Confirm what position the ADV will be left in
