Internal Appearance and Condition

  • Are communal post boxes in good condition and appearance?

  • Are all communal areas (corridors and stairwells) clean?

  • Are all communal areas free from obstruction? (take photo's of any door mats, bikes etc in communal areas).

  • What is the condition of the communal flooring?

  • Are all stair treads in place and securely fixed and free from trip hazzards?

  • Are all interior entrance, corridors and stairwells adequately lit, i.e. no faulty light fittings?

  • Does the development have any lifts?

  • Are the lifts in working order?

  • Is the emergency call button(s) in the lift connecting to the emergency call centre? Action: Complete a function test for this scheme inspection.

  • What is the condition of the lift interior(s)? i.e, signage, no damage to glass and lights working etc?

  • Provide pictures of the lift interior(s)

  • Provide details of other relevant maintenance issues within the internal communal areas

External Appearance and Condition

  • Is the external facade of the building in good appearance and state of repair?

  • Are all hard surfaces in good repair and free from obstructions and trip hazards?

  • Are all footpaths in good repair and free from obstructions and trip hazards?

  • Are all courtyards clean, in good repair and free from obstructions and trip hazards?
