Club Guidance

  • Has a documented Risk Assessment been carried out?

Guidance for players

  • Are players aware of guidance in relation to COVID-19 symptoms. Has the club installed information signage?

  • Are players over 70 years of age and other vulnerable groups following Government guidance to remain at home until guidelines change?

  • Are players following guidance that they should only play individually , with members of their own household or between members of two households?

  • Has the club made it clear to members that when travelling to the club they do so in line with Scottish Government Guidelines?

  • All members are booking rinks through the clubs internal booking system?

  • All members are following bowls Scotland Guidance in relation to no alcohol consumption while playing during the first phase of lock down relaxation ?

Green Set Up Prior to play

  • All equipment removed from greens prior to use such as 2 m sticks,score boards,chalk?

  • Benches, bins and ash trays removed or covered to prevent use during games?

  • Consideration given to special need members. For example those with mobility challenges?.

  • Players providing their own hand sanatiser?

  • Are players following guidance that their should be a free rink in between rinks being used? This provides control for social distancing needs?

Before Play set up

  • Has club allocated a 30 minute slot between rink bookings to minimise crossover contact between players?

  • Has the club provided all players with suitable emergency advice such as First Aid and Fire Evacuation?

  • Has club provided players with arrival information such as they should not arrive at the club until 5 minutes before play begins ?

During Play

  • Are players using separate mats and jacks?

  • If above is not possible is one player collecting mats and jacks before, during and after the game ?

  • Are players carrying out disinfection of mats and jacks at the end of each game?

  • Are players following guidelines making sure bowls and drying cloths are not being shared in addition to no tape measure is taking place?

  • No hand shaking taking place between players?
