  • Is Bromfords asbestos folder within the property for colleagues trained in NNLW/minor works.

  • If there is a need to work on asbestos containing materials, are all colleagues trained and competent in asbestos NNLW/minor works.

  • Have the colleagues completed a face fit test?

  • Correct asbestos PPE worn at all times .i.e. safety boots without laces, white overalls, half face mask with correct filters, safety gloves?

  • Has asbestos waste been double bagged, red bag inside white bag?

  • Has the asbestos waste been stored in a safe location ready to be collected.

  • Asbestos equipment stored in a safety location and unable to become damaged in transit?

Hot works & landscaping activities.

  • Have they filled out the hot works check list before carrying out the work activity.

  • Do they have the correct type 6 litre fire extinguisher on site, CO2, water, foam & dry powder.

  • Is an appropriate fire extinguisher in place/charged/inspected for current period

  • Are cylinders transported by appropriate means in the upright position

  • Have precautions been taken to protect adjacent services from sparks etc.

  • Have they moved all items that are combustible to a safe location.

  • Safe access & egress on vehicle (ramps for heavy loads I.e. Landscaping equipment etc.).

  • Is the fire extinguisher in a safe location, and easy to get to if required?

  • Safety signs on vehicle and in good condition

  • No smoking signs in the vehicle.

  • Tax disc in date.

  • Trailer attached and locked to the vehicle using the correct procedures.

  • Trailer serviced.

  • Trailers combined weight less than the legal requirements.

COSHH

  • Are all chemicals stored in a safe manner.

  • Where spraying has been complete on site, has the 'record of pesticides application document' been completed

Smoke/CO2 alarms

  • Smoke/CO2 alarms tested

  • Smoke/CO2 replaced and reported back to the office.

Blue over shoes worn

  • Did the colleague wear the blue shoe covers when working in the occupied property.
