Quality systems

ITP building specifications- shop drawings

  • Check shop drawing floor plans against architectural plans fornser out

  • Check structural steel reinforcing detailing for AFS walling and nominate specs against relevant walls on shop drawing floor plan layout for installation

  • Have pallets veen landed in correct position locations

  • Is there any damage to panels prior to delivery being accepted

Site preparation

  • Are there surveyor points for all walls on relevant floor plan

  • Have braces been procured and manufactured as per the design specs and SWMS

  • Have all critical elements been ordered, confirmed with client and delivered ready for installation? Including all fixings glues, screws. Fire doors, AFS panels, AFS concrete mix design?

  • Is concrete as per project structural engineers specs and AFS requirements for slump

  • Does the concrete pumping company have equipment that is fit for purpose? See AFS installation manual

  • Do site teams have sufficent power tools which is fit for purpose

  • Do all site members have the required hand tools

  • Are there enough strongbacks for lintels and anywhere to support for straightness and openings greater than 1.4m and greater than a depth of 400mm

  • Are fire door openings propped and ready for installation before or after concrete?

  • Does the install team have the correct ahop drawings and reinforcement mark ups?

  • Does the set out match the AFS panel shop drawings

  • Does the install team have the current window reveal opening schedule

  • Is the pm/supervisor aware of the current program for works

  • Are starter bars in the correct layout and location ready for installation of AFS panels

  • Are check measures in place to verify if formwork set downs are in correct positions as per drawings

  • Have site instructions and variation notices been recevied?

Installtion of AFS Logicwall Panels

  • Walls are straight, square and plumb, within relevant tolerance as per the AS3610 and AS2589 : Level 4 finish?

  • Are all corners sqaure and plumb

  • For corners caps are relevant brackets fixed at 400mm centres to avoid deflection during concrete pouring

  • Are door openings plumb and adequately propped and braced

  • Vertical and horizontal reinforcing steel compliant with engineers specification

  • Bracing is properly applied to every join corner and header as per standards

  • All t junctions are installed correctly and adequately braced

  • All corners joints and end caps are glued screwed and braced adequately

  • Strongbacks /whalers applied where necessary

  • All deviation joints of panels have been bought flush with a cleat to meet AS3600

  • All wall penetrations have been checked and are secure (if part of scopes)

Concrete core fill pre pour

  • Are all required tools onsite inc shovel trowels brooms scraper vibrator

  • Is there a trowel for finishing parapets and window sill

  • Are all gaps breaks areas pacthed up prior to pour

  • Is there adequate tools incase of panel failure

  • Has the pump operator inspected the site and provided a fit for purpose pump

  • Has the pump operator preformed all saftey checks

  • Has delivery docket of concrete onsite been confirmed to be correct afs mixture required with correct slump

  • Has there been a tester to provide a slump test in accordance with the installation guidelines

  • Has the correct flow rate been considered for the type of pour starting

  • 2 people minimum tapping panels on each side where possible,

  • Is there a extra person to keep an eye on the external side of panels where a tapper cannot safely reach

  • Pour heights at 1.5m continuous pour sequence before topping up

  • Gel time between passes are being adhered to in accordance with installation manual

  • Does pour sequence accomodate filling the window sills in the first pass

  • Ensure all braces are in place and fixed to panels and slab as per logicwall design guide

Concrete core fill post pour

  • Are walls straight sqaure and level

  • Has all concrete spill and leaking be cleaned off panels

  • Ensure door frames have remained plumb and in wind through pour

  • Have all window sills and parapets been topped up and trowel finished

  • Ensure all braces remain until slab above has been poured or 28 days as per manual

  • Has pre pour patching been stripped and cleaned away

  • Wall to be checked for voids and finished as per AS3600

  • Have all protruding scress been hit flush

  • Have all peaks in horizontal joints between wall to wall connections been ground or flushed out and left at an acceptable standard
