Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

  • As per legislation, you MUST carry in your vehicle printed signed copies of the latest SKB Fixed Wireless Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for the work performed. <br>WorkHSR2011 Division 2 (S299) Safe Work Method Statement required for High-Risk construction work.<br>(1) A person conducting a business or undertaking that includes the carrying out of High-Risk construction work must, before High-Risk construction work commences, ensure that a safe work method statement for the proposed work—<br>(a) is prepared; or<br>(b) has already been prepared by another person.<br>and<br>You must produce on request a signed copy of the latest appropriate Safe Work Method Statements.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

(1) A person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must obtain the current safety data sheet for a hazardous chemical prepared under this regulation from the manufacturer, importer or supplier of the hazardous chemical in the following circumstances (a) either— <br>(i) when the hazardous chemical is first supplied for use at the workplace; or<br>(ii) if the person is not able to obtain the safety data sheet under subparagraph (i)—as soon as practicable after the hazardous chemical is first supplied to the workplace but before the hazardous chemical is used at the workplace;<br>Some generic SDS are available in the contractor portal.

First Aid Kit Contents

  • All PCBU (Subcontractors) must have access to First Aid, it is mandatory to carry a First Aid kit in your vehicle.
    Your first aid kit must comply with "First Aid in the workplace, Code of practice 2018"
    The first aid kit must be kept in a prominent accessible location and should provide basic equipment for administering first aid for injuries including:
    Cuts, scratches, punctures, grazes and splinters, muscular sprains and strains, minor burns, amputations and/or major bleeding wounds, broken bones, eye injuries and shock.
    Confirm your first aid kit has the mandatory quantities of the below items, you must carry the minimum amounts as set in the Code of Practice.

  • Instructions for providing first aid—including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) flow chart (1)

  • Resuscitation face mask or face shield (1)

  • Disposable nitrile examination gloves (nitrile is a latex-free rubber suitable for people with latex allergies) (5 Pairs)
