Indoor Refrigerant Piping: Branching Joints

• Branch joint are correct size and match System Selector Tool?

• Header Type Branch Joint : Installed horizontal within ± 10° per instructions? (As shown in photo below)

• Y Type Branch Joint : Installed horizontal within ± 15° per instructions? (See picture below)

• 

• Installed vertical per instructions? (See picture below)

• Are branch joints properly supported?

• Maintain a minimum distance of 18" between branching joints, elbows and equipment? (Per picture below)

• Sockets, joints and insulation were installed per instructions?

• No traps per rules and shown in picture below ?

• Expansion joints installed per installation instructions? (See picture below)

Pipe Insulation

• Is pipe insulation 1" close cell UV Rated 245 Degrees F?

• Are all pipes insulated separately?

• No gaps or cuts in insulation?
