Prepare machine for inspection

  • Conduct 5x5 or Good to Go. Fit inspection details tag.

  • Does the machine need fuel prior to testing?

  • Does the machine need to be washed?

  • Check all fluid & oil levels from monitor if applicable.

  • Test run machine to check brakes, transmission, steering, implements, ride control.

  • Perform walk around inspection to ensure area is safe to start work.

  • Check SIS for any open service letters.

  • Download machine fault codes.

  • Are Product Link, VIMS, & ECM flash files current with what is published in SIS?

  • Is Product Link working correctly?

  • Observe engine exhaust colours & listen for unusual noises.

  • Does the heater get hot & the A/C cold?

  • Test all switches & functions

  • Test auto lube function. Does the pump work?

  • Does the grease reservoir need filling?

  • If fitted, does the secondary steering function?

  • If fitted, do the emergency stop button\s function correctly?

  • If fitted, does the battery isolator function correctly?

  • Isolate, lock out & tag out or fit 'live testing tag' if other technicians also working on machine.
