Caretaker Checklist

General Site Checks

  • Is the Safety Statement and/or Site Operation Manual present on site and has it been read?

  • Is test of Help Point to Contact Centre successful?

  • Is the tannoy system working?

  • Is there any evidence of vandalism, break in or other signs of criminal activity?

  • Is the forecourt and footpath areas clean and free of debris/litter/oil spills and any other possible flammable materials?

  • Is the landscape surrounding the forecourt but within our demise kept?

  • Have all customer touch points including pumps, payment terminals and help points been cleaned with disinfectant?

  • Are there 3 extinguishers present on site and in date? (Forecourt & comms room)

  • Are first aid box contents and eyewash present in date?

  • Are the absorbent pads and ‘socks’ in place in the spill kit?

  • Is there an appropriate number of sand buckets are in place, with dry sand and trowel?

  • Have you checked the bin for contaminated sand present and locked with sufficient space?

  • Are Aco channels (or similar) in good repair with no blockages?

  • Is all perimeter lighting in working order?

  • Was the comms room secure on arrival?

  • Was the intruder alarm silent upon arrival?

Dispenser Checks

  • Are the fuel dispensers, pole sign and pump islands undamaged (please lift each nozzle to identify if any error messages are displayed), panels secure, hoses/nozzles show no sign of damage and no evidence of product leaks?

  • Are all payment terminals tamper free?

  • Are fuel grade signs visible to customers as they enter the site?

  • Have cleaning cards been used, and any unusual results reported? Test monthly or as required.

  • Does the price sign match the pump prices?

  • Has static spray been applied to the dispensing nozzles?

  • Has Aerosol Spray been sprayed on to each nozzle?

  • Are dispensing instructions clear and legible at each dispenser?

CNG Checks

  • Was there any noticeable smell of gas upon arrival?

  • Has the condition of the compound been visually checked?

  • Is there any evidence of 3rd party damage or loose fittings to the compound?

  • Have the trenches and inspection pits been visually checked?

  • Has the operability of the louvres been checked when the compressor is running?

  • Is there any notable sound of escaping gas?

Departure

  • Are all checks complete?

  • Is the comms room door locked and secure?
