Dish Installation

  • Is the dish assembled correctly?

  • Is the dish securely fixed?

  • Is the dish earth bonded back to the cabinet?

  • If IRS are the dish and aerials on separate masts?

  • If IRS are the aerials spaced correctly on mast?

  • Is the bracketry correct. (T&K or suitable equivalent)

  • If NPRM, is the roof protected with rubber matting?

  • Has dish been installed as per survey?

Head-end Cabinets

  • Has the cabinet/s been mounted securely?

  • Are the Switches mounted neatly and securely?

  • Is cabling within cabinet neat and tidy?

  • Are cables/Switch ports labeled with flat numbers?

  • Has the head-end/sub cabs been labeled with block name and equipment list?

  • Correct number of switches for number of units?

  • How many switches are short?

  • Have grommets been used in cabinet?

  • Has a copy of the survey been left at the Head-end?

  • Has Head-ends been installed as per survey?

  • Add each additional Head-end as required. Photos must show correct number of switches for amount of units. Boards must also be labeled with block name and switch ports/cables must be labeled with flat numbers.

Commissioning of system

  • Has a copy of the commissioning certificate been left on site?

Cabling

  • Is the cable colour consistent and the best choice for block?

  • Are all cable ties and clips the same colour as the cable?

  • Is the longest cable run present?

  • Are the looms secured on a permanent fixing?

  • Cat wire or French bolts installed correctly?

  • Are all cables/Looms neat and secure!

  • Have the coils from per wires or longest run had the ends amalgamated to prevent water damage?

  • Has cabling been installed as per survey?

  • Photos required for Walk off?

  • Photos of cabling to be provided. These must include a photo of longest run, any pre-wires that were quoted for and any additional catenary wire which was quoted for.

Containment

  • Is tray work mounted on blocks and rubber matting to protect roof?

  • Is tray work straight and neatly installed?

  • Is tray secured to blocks using correct fixings?

  • Is cabling neatly loomed and tied to tray?

  • A selection of photos showing that cable tray has been installed as per quote must be provided, these must include photos of the tray earthed and photos of the tray mounted on blocks with rubber matting underneath to protect the roof.

Power & Earth (Electrician)

  • Has the system been earth bonded to a tagged services or PME?

  • Has the earth cable been run neatly and discreetly?

  • Has entry point for earth cable been sealed?

  • Has containment been installed neatly and securely?

  • Has a new fused spur been installed?

  • Has the PSU been installed correctly?

  • Has the earthing been installed as per the survey?

  • Has the walk off pics and minor works certificate been supplied by electrician at time of inspection?

Dish Removals

  • Have all existing Sky mini dishes been removed from the building?

  • Has the on-site Risk assessment sign off been completed / left in cabinet?

  • Is there evidence of WAH kit used (Eyebolts or drill holes for eyebolts beneath dish and cab etc)

  • Has the site been left clean and tidy?

Special Access

  • Receipts or invoices for the use of any special access, cherry picker or abseilers must be provided

  • Cherry Picker (MEWP) used?

Standard of Survey

  • Has the dish been best positioned to suit the block?

  • Have the Head-ends been best positioned to suit the block?

  • Have the cables taken the best route to suit the block?

  • Have all the flats entry points been located correctly?

  • Have the correct number of units been identified?

  • Has the system been designed to best suit the block?

  • Has survey been carried out to a satisfactory level!

Remedial works

  • Are Remedial works required by installation engineer?

  • Any comments or actions to be taken

  • Complete inspection and walk off and send to office and engineer who carried out installation.

  • Please provide details

  • Office to be contacted and a suitable date booked for a Recall. If remedial works are urgent then they must be carried out immediately.
