Building business hours are 8:30am to 5pm. <br>Pre-approval is required from the Facilities Manager for works occurring outside of business hours.

Temporary building access for works occurring outside of business hours can be provisioned by the Facilities Manager on request.

During lunch hour (12pm to 1pm) strictly no works are permitted on the ground floor to ensure hygiene and ambience is maintained around the company's lunch service.

Food and drinks are not permitted onsite and must not be stored in any onsite refrigerators. All food and drink is to be consumed outside the facility.

Smoking and drugs are prohibited onsite.
Your Working Area

Ensure that your work area is tidy and free from any rubbish. Bins are available on site for waste disposal.

If cleaning of your work area is required as a result of excessive dirt, debris or material, this can be organise by contacting the Facilities Manager.

Use of loud machinery should be avoided during business hours (8:30am to 5pm) to minimise disruption. Please plan for loud works outside of business hours.

Ensure mechanical and electrical equipment is stored properly and out of the way when not is use. Keep all areas of the site tidy and free from unused materials.

Please consider if you require a sectioned off working space so that employees are protected from equipment and materials which may pose a risk to the wider working floor. <br>Work with the Facilities Manager to cordon off areas to create a safer working area onsite.

Cutting, grinding, sanding or any works which cause excessive dust must be done outside. Consult the Facilities Manager for appropriate areas to complete these works.

Welding or any works which cause fire risks must be done outside. Consult the Facilities Manager for appropriate areas to complete these works.

When taking calls onsite, be mindful of working floors and keep to a respectful volume and tone.
Health & Safety

PPE must be worn while completing works onsite. It is the contractor's responsibility to source the appropriate PPE required.

If any hazardous materials are to be used, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) must be provided to the Facilities Manager before commencing work.

If any hazards of the work area are identified, they must be reported to the Facilities Manager so safety measures can be implemented to reduce risk of injury.

In the event of an accident or injury where you require first aid support, contact the Facilities Manager. In a medical emergency contact '000' immediately.

In an emergency evacuation, listen to instructions from the Chief Warden. Uf evacuation is required, emergency signage and exit lighting point out your nearest exit routes.

Specialised Areas

Do you require dock access for parking?
-
Garage access must be pre-approved by the Facilities Manager. The height clearance is 2.2m and vehicles above this height are not permitted. The garage remote can be collected from reception from 8:30am and must be returned by 5pm. On exit, the driver must ensure the roller door is closed.

Do you require access to comms rooms or risers?
-
Comms room access must be pre-approved by the IT Manager. When entering and exiting comms rooms or risers, the door must always be closed to prevent unauthorised access. Be cautious when working within these areas to ensure no cabling or hardware is knocked. All rubbish including loose wires or cabling must be cleaned at the end of each day.

Do you require access to electrical risers to complete live electrical works?

Live electrical works must be pre-approved by the Facilities Manager. Contractors are responsible for following strict safety protocols when completing live electrical works including using insulated tools, wearing PPE, and ensuring a standby worker is present.

Do you require roof access or will you be working at heights?

Roof or height works must be pre-approved by the Facilities Manager. Contractors are responsible for using appropriate fall protection systems, securing all tools and equipment, wearing PPE, and checking weather conditions and structural integrity before starting work.
