GENERAL

  • Store perimeter Walk (any concerns).

  • Is the trolley bay, trolley's and baskets in good condition.

  • Are Staff dress standards inline with company policy, name badges, hats, hairnets and jewellery.

  • Check previous days sales print off for department discussions.

  • Are all departments ready for the day's trade (any concerns).

  • Is there any absenteeism, have replacement plans been put in place.

  • Are merchandising and ticketing standards across all displays acceptable.

  • check store cleaners have completed clean.

SERVICE AREA WALK

  • Check merchandise: EG are impulse stands, drinks and magazines well merchandised and ticketed.

FRESH FOODS WALK - FRESH, FULL AND CLEAN

  • Check quality on all lines, rotation in place and "would I buy it"

  • Are Safety mats or signs in place as required.

  • Is all ticketing clean and in good condition.

  • Are Markdown process in place.

  • Are all specials ticketed and tied up to maximise promotional execution.

GROCERY AND PERISHABLES

  • Review all stock management procedures EG: Capping stock (any concerns)

  • Check out of date stock lines for reasons.

CHECK TWICE WEEKLY

  • Are department specific house keeping routines in place.

WEEKLY CHECKS

  • Has there been a managers meeting

  • Have you checked catalogue execution.

  • Check all refrigeration is fully operational and clean.

  • Are fresh preparation areas clean and tidy

  • Check lighting across entire store (are al lights working)

  • Are staff amenities clean and tidy.

  • Check POS is current and in good condition EG: Price match.

  • Has the milk case been deep cleaned.

  • Metcash service level ratios completed (Friday)<br>

  • Grocery ends merchandising photos submitted (Friday)

MONTHLY CHECKS

  • Is there any damaged or missing data stripping.

  • Have all food safety/OH&S documents been actioned.
