Inspection Checklist

Management

  • Has a staff member been nominated for each shift that is responsible for keeping everyone the required 1.5 metre distance apart in accordance with the latest government requirements?

  • Is the Covid Visitor Log in place for all staff, contractors, visitors, customers to record their attendance for contact tracing purposes?

Signage

  • Are the Government's Compliance Posters being displayed?

  • Are suitable signs in place at building entrances to remind people entering the business of Covid and the key risks and controls?

  • Are posters visible around the workplace on keeping at least 1.5 metres distance between everyone in the workplace?

  • Are signs erected at the entrances to lifts, meeting rooms and lunchrooms to ensure the maximum safe capacity is not exceeded?

  • Are the maximum number of people in the workplace sign visible and adhered to?

  • Are social distancing markers on the floor in areas where customer line up or where workers perform tasks?

  • Are there clear instructions on how to wash hands at every wash basin?

  • Is signage on display requesting customers only touch items they are going to buy?

Waste

  • Do waste bins have plastic bin liners. Are additional bags available to double bag for disposal?

Handwashing & Hygiene

  • Are there adequate hand sanitiser stations at entry and exit points and around the workplace and well stocked?

  • Are bathrooms well stocked with hand wash and paper towel?

  • Are posters with instructions on how to wash hands on display?

Cleaning

  • Are all areas frequented by workers and customers cleaned at least daily with detergent or disinfectant?

  • Are sufficient anti-bacterial hand cleaners available in the office area and meeting rooms?

  • Are workers instructed to wear gloves when cleaning and wash their hands thoroughly with soap or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser before and after wearing gloves?

  • Are frequently touched areas and surfaces cleaned several times a day with a detergent or disinfectant solution or wipe? This includes Eftpos equipment, elevator buttons, handrails, tables, counter tops, door knobs, sinks and keyboards.

  • Are suitable anti-bacterial surface cleaners available in the office area and meeting rooms?

  • Is there evidence that individuals have cleaned their workstations daily?

  • Has "Deep clean" been undertaken in the last seven days?

Other

  • Are internal doors propped open where possible to reduce contact surfaces (handles etc)?

  • Are windows open where temperature allows to provide ventilation to the workplace?

First Aid

  • Has first aid box tamper seal been inspected in the last 7 days?

  • Has Defibrillator test been carried out in the last 7 days?

  • Is there at least one Qualified 1st Aider in the offices?

Communication

  • Have the managers met to update and review Covid-19 impact on the business in the last working week?

  • Have all staff been contacted to advise on any changes to daily operation and allowed to raise issues in the last working week?
