1. Make sure indoor unit is operational

  • Take a photo of the indoor unit before maintenance commences

  • Is ducting free from damage and or traces of vermin

  • Set system to cooling and high fan speed

  • Did the unit turn on?

  • Are there any error codes

Clean and inspect the indoor unit and components

  • Prep indoor area under roof access (drop sheets, ladder, etc.)

  • Remove return air filter and place outside for cleaning

  • Is return air filter in good condition?

  • Test indoor drain, did the water drain away?

  • Fix blockage issue

  • Are indoor drain pipes sagging?

  • Are indoor pipes secure?

  • Spray filter with cleaner

  • Check outlets for dust, mould and debris build up - setup drop sheets and clean accordingly

  • Are zone motors operational?

  • Check airflow from each outlet

  • Hose down return air filter and dry, then reinstall. Clean return air grill.

  • Turn unit to heating - highest temperature and lowest fan speed

Locate the outdoor unit

  • Take a photo of the outdoor unit before maintenance commences

  • Check operation of compressor and fan

  • What is the current draw for the unit?

  • Measure current - Is the current draw within specification?

  • What is the current draw?

  • Shut down the unit and notify customer

  • Inspect electrical connections - Are they terminated correctly?

  • Replace any covers that have been taken off the outdoor unit for maintenance and inspection

  • Clear area around outdoor unit from foreign materials (Grass, rubbish, plants, etc.)

  • Hose off outdoor coil from top to bottom

  • Hose off covers and filters from the indoor unit

  • Wipe down outdoor unit

Return site and units back to order

  • Clean the job site and remove any equipment

  • Take photos of units - post maintenance

Post inspection and wrap up

  • Are there any forseeable issues with the units?

  • Is the remote in working order and is the customer comfortable with its operation
