  • Visually inspect cabling and cable terminations for deterioration and loss of insulation medium (where possible) - re-tighten where necessary.

  • Confirm earthing system tests within <1.0 Ohm. Use a calibrated low-ohm meter and trailing lead to test between all bolted earthing connections and accessible earthed metal parts (As per AS/NZS 3760:2010, Section 2.3.3.1 Earthing continuity)

  • Record earth reading in Ohms Ω (insert whole numbers, subtract the value of trailing lead and repeat as necessary)

  • Confirm earthing connections and surrounding area are clean?

  • Take x3 photos of earthing connections before being cleaned

  • Take x3 photos of switchgear after being cleaned
