  • This inspection checklist assists with the daily maintenance and PM activities at the facility. The inspection shall be completed in all areas of the warehouse and areas as it is applicable. Issues shall be summarized on the last page. All repairs and PM’s are expected to be documented in Direct line.

  • ENSURE SORT LINE IS LOCKED OUT PRIOR TO START OF INSPECTION!

  • Have all identified issues been corrected from the previous machine inspection and entered in direct line?

  • Are all corrections of previously identified issues still effective and not recurring?

  • **If issues are recurring contact Maintenance Excellence Team for additional resources.

SORT

  • Is Infeed loading section in good working order? Drive motor gearbox, rollers, chains, Photo eye and forklift stops?

  • Is remainder of infeed conveyor in good working order? Drive motor gearbox, rollers, and chains?

  • Is stack squarer in good working order? Limit switches, hydraulic leaks & travel bushings greased?

  • Is tipper infeed in good working order? Triple 80 chain & sprocket condition, hydraulic leaks, frame and funneling condition & photo eye adjustment/ operation?

  • Is tipper in good working order? Limit switches, prox switches, hydraulic operation / leaks, chain tension & condition, cam followers & carriage condition?

  • Is the continuous feed section in good working order? Wings, hydraulic leaks, cam followers, chain & Pallet stop photo eye/ reflector?

  • Is the inspection station in good working order? Bearings, chains, cushion arm, prox switches, plastic in rollers & photo eyes?

  • Is the ADI unit in good working order? Camera lenses cleaned, photo eyes, belt condition, stop gate fit form function, drive motors and gearboxes.

  • Is the Flipper unit in good working order? Infeed and outfeed chains & sprockets, bearings, flipper frame free of cracks, clutch condition, drive motors & gearboxes, plastic in rollers & motor couplings?

  • Is the main line in good working order? Rollers, bearings, chains, sweep conveyor condition, stop gate fit form function, funneling condition & plastic in rollers?

  • Are stacker infeed sections all in good working order? Chain tension/ condition, All stacker limit switches fit form function, check stacker hydraulic manifold for leaks and control cable condition, check hydraulic hoses/motors, photo eyes and prox switches.

  • Vacuum out hydraulic heat exchanger.

  • DAILY!!!!

  • Walk sort hydraulic system looking for leaks and hose damage. Also walk line looking for damaged junction boxes and wire damage. Electrical tape is not a permeant fix.

Repair Line

  • Is the repair line in good working order? Drive motors gearboxes, rollers / bearings, chains & photo eyes?

  • Are the repair benches in good working order? Air leaks, lift table operation, tool balancers, light, fan, electrical outlets, infeed/outfeed rollers & forklift stops

PAINT LINE

  • Is the paint line infeed in good working order? Motors, Gearboxes, forklift stops, rollers, chains & load photo eye?

  • Is the Single High Paint Booths in good working order? Bearings, chains, photo eyes?

  • Is the paint line outfeed in good working order? Motors, Gearboxes, forklift stops, rollers & chains?

  • Is the Stencil in good working order? Check for proper operation ensure screen is being maintained and cleaned.

  • AIR COMPRESSOR

  • Blow out compressor intake and change filter media if needed.

  • Blow out dryer / cooler

  • Check compressor / tank drains

HOUSEKEEPING

  • Are the operators following good housekeeping practices and ensuring there is no debris build up.

  • Are the stackers clear of wood and debris?
