Marking

  • Is the exterior of each treatment unit marked with the facility name, EPA ID number and tank/unit individual serial number?

Secondary Contaiment

  • Is overfill or spill control equipment (waste-feed cutoff systems, bypass systems and drainage systems) including secondary containment, in good working order? For the overhead double walls pipping free of any signs of leaks, corrosion or signs of deterioration?

  • Are all the above-ground portions of the tank/unit free of any signs of corrosion, leakage, or release of any waste?

  • Do data gathered from monitoring equipment and leak-detection equipment (pressure and temperature gauges, flow meter, pH meters) indicates that the tank system is being operated according to its design?

  • Is the containment areas free of spills, leaks or accumulated liquids?

  • Spills, leaks or accumulated liquids must be removed from the containment area within 24 hours. Refer CCr 67450.3 (c)(9) [PBR]

  • Is there sufficient free-board available (minimum of 2 ft, applies only for uncovered tanks)?

  • Is any accumulated liquid in the interstitial? Add action taken if answered as "yes"
