  • Check indicators

  • Check brake lights

  • Check trailer plug and wiring

  • Check wheel nuts and tension

  • Check and adjust wheel bearings

  • Repack / Replace wheel bearings

  • Check tow hitch for damage

  • Check tow hitch mounting bolts

  • Check body and RIMS for cracks and damage

  • Check shackle pins for wear

  • Check brake operation

  • Check brake lining and record % left

  • Adjust brakes if required

  • Check / Change brake fluid (if applicable)

  • Check U Bolt condition

  • Check tyre pressure

  • Check tyre tread depth

  • Check age of tyre

  • Check safety chains and D Shackles

  • Check jockey wheel

  • Lubricate all grease points

  • Number plate covers are not tinted or reflective. Number plates are not concave or convex and do not affect visual photographic recognition of the registration

  • Number plate is not deteriorated, faded or damaged to be illegible from a distance of 20m

  • Number plate is not modified or trimmed in any way.

  • Number plate is not mounted more than 130 cm from the ground.

  • Registration number is issued or approved by a state or territory road transport authority.

  • All coupling devices and connectors are fully operational and secured. They are not cracked, corroded, excessively <br>worn, leaking, deformed or damaged in a way likely to cause failure.<br>

  • Drawbar is securely fixed to trailer frame/chassis.

  • Name or trademark of manufacturer is clearly displayed on coupling including maximum operating capacity<br>
