Is the temperature in the working environment comfortable?

Is there adequate ventilation?

Is all lighting adequate?

Is the environment clean?

Are health and safety notices present and are in the correct places?

Is the noise within the area low enough for two people to hold a normal conversation with 1m distance between them?

Are all desk areas appropriately positioned giving suitable space for operatives?

Is the office area at a comfortable temperature?

Are all heating/cooling devices of the correct type? (no fan heaters)

Are all leads and wires stored correctly so no trip hazards are present?

Is the area clean and clear presenting no trip hazards?

Are all employees using standard ergonomic chairs so injuries can not occur?

Are all correct recycle bins present and in use?

Is all electrical equipment PAT tested and of the correct nature?

Is all portable equipment tested and labelled with correct PAT testing date?

Are the leads undamaged?

Are all leads tidy so they do not present a trip hazard?

Are all sockets containing the correct amount of voltage so they are not over loaded?

If reel extensions are in use are they fully unwound to prevent a fire hazard?

Are all safety guards in place for pallet wrappers and inverters and in good condition?

Are the equipment areas kept clean and clear of rubbish?

Are safety devices fitted (emergency stop button, laser beams) to isolate the electricity in the event of an emergency?

Are correct safety warning notices in place and visible to all employees?

Are risk assessments in place for the equipment and are up to date?

Is all exposure to COSHH adequately controlled?

Are all the data sheets available for the products and are all staff aware of where they are located?

Is there a spillage process in place?

Are all spill kit check sheets up to date?

Are all spill kits correctly stored?

Are all Cytotoxic and Flammable products correctly signed/stored?

Disposal of hazardous waste in place?

Are processes in place for flammable liquid spills or leaks within the site?

Are safety notices in place and visible to all staff? (Hot Water etc)

Is fire fighting equipment present and accessible to staff?

Is the first aid kit present, accessible to staff and all items in date?

Are recycling bins present and in correct use by employees?

Is the MHE on site being well driven, using horns in correct manner?

Choose three employees - Are the pre shift inspection checks complete for that vehicle?

Are the PPTs being driven with forks trailing?

Are all access routes to and from the building clear from obstruction?

Are all fire doors closed correctly and not propped open?

Is there adequate emergency lighting and is it tested regularly?

Are all fire exit routes clearly signed?

Are fire extinguishers in place and up to date with testing?

Do the fire extinguishers have pins and tags in place?

Is fire information posted on notice boards, assembly points etc?

Is a weekly fire alarm testing under taken weekly?

Is an annual fire evacuation under taken for the site?

Is there a fire risk assessment for that site and has this been reviewed and up to date?

Are all machines well guarded from moving parts?

Are all leads tucked away and not causing a trip hazard?

Is all waste controlled correctly and placed into correct recycling cages?

Are the stairs to mezz floors and upper offices (AP3) clear and free from obstruction?

Are all operatives working with sufficient space?

Are all pallets and boxes correctly positioned within racking?

Are all co pack loading/unloading lanes safe and stacked correctly?

Are the names and contact numbers of trained first aiders present and up to date?

Have the first aid stations been checked regularly for correct consumables?

Are all eye wash bottles unopened and in date?

Is the first aid room/area clean and tidy?

Are roadways in the yard in good condition? (no holes, cracks)

Are all steps clear of obstruction and clean?

Are all hand rails in good condition?

Are cycle racks in place and being used?

Are all yard lights working?

Are all bay lights working correctly?

Are all outside bays in good condition? (bump stops etc)

Is the yard litter free and organised?

Is the smoke shelter clean and free from litter?

Are correct waste bins being used and not the ashy tray which could cause a fire hazard?

Are yard spill kits present and tags undamaged?

Are all staff wearing the correct PPE for the job task they are undertaking?

Is the PPE being worn in good condition?

Is specialist PPE stored correctly and used accordingly? (Gloves for battery changing, LN2 PPE, Dry Ice PPE)

Is the inspection area clean. tidy and well organised?

Are all access ways unobstructed? (walkways etc)

Are any tripping hazards present? (pallets protruding out, floor finishes etc)

Are all recycling cages present and in use?

Is all house keeping equipment stored under correct conditions? (shadow boards etc)

Rubbish disposal area clean and tidy?

Bailing area clean and tidy? (bailing wire correctly put away)

Sharps removal in place and located correctly?

Do all employees smoke at the correct designated place?

Are employees aware of damaged racking procedures?

Are pallets well positioned in the racking?

Are all pallets and boxes wrapped above D level?

Are all pallets positioned correctly at ground level? (no protruding pallets)

Are ladders undamaged that are still in operation?

Is the ladder check sheet present and in use?

Are unused ladders well stored?

Is the toilet area clean and tidy?

Is there adequate soap?

Are drying facilities in place and working correctly?

Is there adequate toilet paper?

Is there sanitary disposal in place?

Is there sanitary vending in place?

Are all walls and surfaces clean?

IT area/room clean and tidy?

Wires correctly and safely positioned?

All combustibles well out of the vicinity of the IT server equipment?

Is the room/area cool with no excess heat?
