Pre-visit Checklist

Site Visit Checklist

  • Walk the Franchise Partner through the approved SOW and discuss each element.

  • Note any SOW adjustments needed.

  • Discuss repair and maintenance items noted in the SOW.

  • Note any additional repair and maintenance items needed.

  • Outline the remodel process, roles and responsibilities.

  • Discuss the durations for the various tasks and estimated remodel time frame.

  • Discuss vendors needed to complete remodel. Outline lead times required and payment terms.

  • Discuss the importance of the Franchise Partner contacting the city to verify what might be required for permit and how long the permitting process typically takes.

  • Ask the Franchise Partner if there are any Landlord requirements or submittals required for the remodel.

  • Explain the possible need for an architect for the remodel work. Explain the process for interviewing and selecting an architect. Show the Franchise Partner the Architect Directory in the Appendix of the Remodel Guide.

  • Explain the process for interviewing and bidding the project to a general contractor. Show the Franchise Partner the General Contractor Directory in the Appendix of the Remodel Guide.

  • Discuss how to use the Remodel Cost Spreadsheet and how the data will help Huddle House. Provide Franchise Partner with a digital copy.
