Metal Detector 1

  • * Tests must be performed at the start of a production session (Start Time and Test Time must be recorded and be the same time).
    * Tests must be performed a minimum of once per hour (Test Time must be recorded).
    * Tests must be performed at the end of a production session (Start Time and Test Time must be recorded and be the same time).
    * Metal detectable blue plaster test must be performed once per day at the beginning of the first packing session.
    * Metal detectable blue plaster batch number must be recorded

    * If any of the following incidents occur, production must be stopped and a Manager called to investigate:
    a) Metal detected in a bag of ice.
    b) Test stick sample not detected.
    c) Belt stops, alarm sounds or light flasher activated.
    * The Manager must follow the procedure for metal detection in a bag of ice and record all comments in the box below.
    * The Manager must follow the procedure for test stick sample not detected and record all comments in the box below.
    * Any potentially contaminated product must be placed in the QUARANTINE BIN and disposed of according to the procedure for non-conforming product.
