Information

  • Safety behavioural observation instructions
    - When performing the SBO ensure you have positive discussion around what the employee is doing
    - Identify any issues on site and work to make them safe with the employee(s)
    - Don't write your SBO up in front of the crew it will make them feel uncomfortable
    - Note anything you think could be used to improve operations.
    - Make these part of your toolboxes

    Remember the SBO is NOT:
    - A site inspection
    - A near miss reporting form

Your experience with the employees will ensure everyone gets home home safe, stays safe and keeps safe.

Once you have finished email a copy through to your direct manager, the project manager, and the Zero Harm Advisor. Then enter your record of having performed into the monthly reports SBO table in QMS 2000.
