Drill Site Access Route

Drill Equipment and Layout

Job Environment

Fall Arrest/Protection

  • Is a guardrail of 40 inches installed around the roof?

  • Ladders are safe, attached and installed at 3 feet above the access point?

  • Is a rescue procedure in place?

  • Open holes are guarded and secured?

Drill Rig Electrical

  • Is there a lockable master switch and is it in good condition?

  • Fixtures and receptacles in good shape?

  • Electrical equipment and wiring free of frays, cracks or defects?

  • Wiring/cables secure and out of the way?

Support Equipment

  • Are vehicle lights operational?

  • Are vehicles equipped with working fire extinguishers?

  • Are winch cables/hooks in good condition?

  • Backup alarms installed and operational on applicable vehicles (Trucks, Maruka, Muskeg, etc.)

  • Vehicles equipped with first aid kits?

Fire Protection

  • Are extinguishers present at all standard locations?

  • Are functional extinguishers accessible at drill site?

Emergency Response and Safety Equipment
