DSBJV - Daily Site Environmental Checklist

Has the job start form been completed, and does it identify relevant environmental hazards and controls for today's work?

Is the site generally clean and tidy (e.g., no litter, cigarette butts) and equipment and materials stored well (e.g., materials undercover where appropriate)

Are site access ways clean and mud/dust free?

Any graffiti or vandalism to site hoardings?

Can you see the spill kits onsite (reachable in max 3 min)?

Are all hazardous substances (e.g., fuel, chemicals, paint etc.) stored in a designated, bunded area?

No excessive emissions from plant or equipment (e.g., fumes, leakage)? or oil sheens on ground/water?

Is the site free from spills?

Are kerbs and channels in the road around the site clear of sediments and/or debris? No ponded water/flooding of note?

Have all of the catchpit inserts/filter socks been checked - in place as per BMP, no rips or tears?

Concrete runoff must NOT enter cesspits – if there is the possibility of concrete works today are good controls in place?

Are you confident the neighbour’s washing drying outside won’t have to be rewashed due to dust levels from the work site?

If you lived in the closest building to this site, would you be happy with noise and odour levels? (check for unnecessary noise e.g., shouting, horns, loud site radios, any odour out of character with the environment)?

Have you discussed all issues identified during your check with the team on site and ESM?

Any recent environmental incidents, complaints or good ideas to share? If “Yes” has it been recorded?
