Physically inspect all appropriate items and check for the following:

  • Are exposed wiring and cords with frayed or deteriorated insulation repaired or replaced promptly?

  • Are hoses, cables, and power tool cords free of splices and tape?

  • Are portable electrical tools and equipment grounded or double insulated?

  • Do extension cords have a grounding conductor prong?

  • Are Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI's) being used properly?

  • Are tools and similar equipment provided with appropriate safety guards?

  • Emergency shut-offs / switches properly marked and working?

  • Have all power tools been inspected for damage?(Drills, Grinders, Buffers, Etc.)

  • In wet or damp locations, are electrical tools and equipment appropriate for the use or location or otherwise protected?

  • Are welding leads in good condition with repairs no closer than 10 feet apart or from the ends?
