Vehicle Condition and Pre & Post Trip

• Driver walked around vehicle before getting in and starting vehicle

• Driver checked lights, turn signals, brakes and tires before starting off for day

• Is seat adjusted for regular driver, or did new driver properly adjust his seat before driving

• Driver checked mirrors to see if properly adjusted

• No papers or other materials on dash to obstruct drivers view or create glare

Service / Installation Work

• Sufficient task lighting available and used in addition to general lighting

• Ergonomically designed hand and power tools in use for repetitive tasks

• Appropriate Lifts, scaffolds, ladders and platform ladders, as appropriate, selected based on task

• Made use of collapsable hand truck, or cart provided by customer, to move tools, materials or equipment

• Used drop down ladder racks with ladder brought to shoulder height to remove

• Never stood on back bumper to get ladder down from roof rack

• Kept tools and materials within 6' of point of installation

• Worked at waist height whenever possible

• Manually handled material stored / staged 24" or higher off the ground

• Always maintained 3 points of contact when climbing ladders or walking up or down stairs

• Wore proper PPE such as eye, hand, head, hearing, knee, etc.

• Made no more than 2 trips to vehicle for tools, materials, parts, etc during each service call

• Did not work in awkward body postures unless required by equipment placement

• Used a headlamp instead of flashlight in the mouth while working in low light areas

• All tools in working order and batteries fully charged
