  • All wheeled equipment in corridor is “attended.”

  • All refrigerators are properly labeled for use (such as patient food only, Biohazard, etc.).

  • All Patient and Medication Refrigerator temperatures are monitoring logs up to date.

  • Refrigerators, Microwaves, Toasters, Coffee makers are plugged directly into a wall outlet.

  • There are no slipping or tripping hazards. Carpet & flooring in good condition.

  • Materials are stored in an orderly and safe manner.

  • Chairs and other furniture are free of tears and in good repair and of appropriate duty rating.

  • All ceiling tiles and walls are secure and without stains or cracks.

  • Staff food and eating not occurring in work areas.

  • Personal protective equipment and resuscitation devices available and use appropriately. Safe needles devices used where feasible.

  • No supplies stored directly on floor.
