Starting the machine

  • Perform walk around inspection

  • Mount the machine using 3 points of contact

  • Turn the battery disconnect switch to ON

  • Adjust seat, arm rests

  • Fasten seat belt

  • Move hydraulic lock lever into the LOCKED position

Machine warm-up

  • Cycle all controls to allow warm oil to circulate through all cylinders and lines

  • Check gauges and action lights frequently

Moving the machine

  • Make sure the area is clear

  • Move hydraulic lock lever into the RUN position

  • Raise all lowered implements

  • Move travel controls in the direction you want to go (check machine rotation: final drives are to rear)

Machine shut-down

  • Park machine on smooth, level area

  • Ground all hydraulic implements

  • Move Hydraulic lock lever into the LOCKED position

  • Allow engine to run at LOW IDLE for 5 minutes

  • Turn key start switch to OFF and remove key

  • Turn battery disconnect switch to OFF

  • Dismount machine using 3-point contact

  • Conduct post-operation walk around inspection
