Ground floor: Outside area, Office +Toilet, Communal Kitchen

  • Front of building: outside area including patio, windows & doors clean & in good repair, (garden and yard at side to follow later)

  • Garden near office: garden & fences clean & in good repair. Patio clean & grass trimmed. No unwanted weed or plant growth, free from non allowed equipment, pathways clear and free from tripping hazards?

  • Down pipes and troughs: no flora growing and free from visible obstructions?

  • Entrance: landing clean & in good repair. Check door, wall, floor, radiator, lights, smoke alarms, metering cupboards. (Specifics about flat entrances later on).

  • Thorough to office, free from damage, check radiators, alarms lights, sockets, etc

  • Office Toilet: clean & in good repair. Check door, leakage, wall, floor, flush/ pot, WC, ceiling & light, shower clean and free from damage?

  • Communal Kitchen/seating area: clean & in good repair. Check door, floor, ceiling, lights, sockets, windows, cabinets, furniture & radiator, storage area under stairs locked and secured correctly?

  • Flat 3
  • Kitchen Flat 3: check equipment working, clean & in good condition including boiler, electric hobs/ cooker, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, washing machine, kettle, Carbon monoxide/ smoke & heat alarm, floor coverings, wall coverings free from damage? Check lights, switches and sockets for damage. Fire fighting equipment within kitchen, extinguisher and Blanket, unused and in date?

  • Yard at Rear of Flat 3: free from rubbish, floor clean and free from slipping/tripping hazards, doors and gates intact and free from damage?

  • Living Room Flat 3: clean and in good repair. Check door, floor, ceiling, lights, sockets, windows, furniture & radiators

  • Bedroom Flat 3: clean & in good repair. Check doors, radiator, walls, ceiling, floor, curtain, furniture, light & window, no broken sockets

  • Bathroom/toilet Flat 3: clean & in good repair. Check walls, ceiling, radiator, lights, leaks, flush, WC, floor, bathtub, taps, door & window, extractor fan operational, (not switched off at isolator, free from blockage/dirt) No blockages ?

  • Obtain signature of service user to accept findings listed in this section, whether good or bad. It also gives the service user chance to highlight any issues which may have been missed. It must be ensured this is obtained to make sure any issues with the flat in question can be repaired in a timely manner. If we don’t know there’s an issue, we can’t fix it. If no service user is occupying the property, then sign yourself.

Flat 1

  • Stairs & landing and front door to Flat 1: clean & in good repair. Check walls, floor, ceiling, lights & smoke alarm

  • Kitchen Area Flat 1 : clean & in good repair. Check doors, radiator, walls, ceiling, floor, curtain, furniture, light, sockets & window

  • Living room Flat 1: clean & in good repair. Check doors, radiator, walls, ceiling, floor, curtain, furniture, light & windows

  • Bathroom/ toilet flat 1: clean & in good repair. Check walls, ceiling, radiator, lights, leaks, flush, WC, floor, bathtub, taps, door & window, extractor fan operational, (not switched off me free from blockage/dirt). No blockages ?

  • Bedroom Flat 1 1: clean & in good repair. Check doors, radiator, walls, ceiling, floor, curtain, furniture, light & window, no broken sockets

  • Obtain signature of service user to accept findings listed in this section, whether good or bad. It also gives the service user chance to highlight any issues which may have been missed.
