Overall H&S Activities on Site

  • Is the site secure?

  • Overall is the site welfare provision suitable and sufficient?

  • Is the site manager on site or if not is there suitable site management in place from our client?

  • Is there a relevant F10 in place for the site and is it displayed In the site office?

  • Does our client have suitable insurance in place and in date and is the certificate displayed in the site office?

  • Are the hop ups fitted at a height to give edge protection to fit cassettes and edge protection when on the cassettes?

FREDS Contract Management H&S Activities on Site

  • Are all FREDS site documents valid, in date and correctly completed by FCM

  • Are all clients site documents and check sheets complete

  • Are all FREDS check sheets complete

  • Is all relevant FREDS signage on site

  • Is there FREDS waste management on site

  • Have all site operatives had an FREDS site induction by FCM and has FCM administrator been made aware

Subcontractor Work at Height (21)

  • Are all scaffolds that FREDS operatives are working on complete, safe & signed off

Subcontractor Lifting Operations (28)

  • Are all minor sections of the lift plan completed

  • Is the lift zone barriered off

  • Is the correct person signalling the crane

  • Are all vehicle banked on to site at time of visit

  • Did the crane complete a 360 degree rotation check

  • Did the lift supervisor challenge and brief on entering the lift zone

  • Is there a lift plan in place and signed off by the crane operator, the client and the lift supervisor

  • Are all lifting, crane and sling documents in date

  • Is there a lift supervisor present and named on the lift plan

  • Are all persons being kept clear of any suspended load

  • Is the ground make up sufficient to take the loads imposed and is it signed off by the client

  • The correct procedures for altering the lift plan, including permission from the AP are being followed

Work Equipment (15)

  • Is all equipment being used in good order

  • B- Is the tool suitable for the work being done

  • Is all test certification for the tool in place

  • Are all operatives trained in the use of the tool being used

PPE (13)

  • All dust masks are suitable and face fit tested to the wearer

Site Documents (13)

  • Is everyone signed off on the FREDS RAMS

Site Tidiness (11)

  • All areas local to the FREDS work area are clean and tidy, free from debris

  • All materials are stacked correctly

  • Is the overall site conditions satisfactory

  • Is the condition of the access routes acceptable

  • Is the truss rack being used

  • Standards of site tidiness are being maintained so that there are no unacceptable and or dangerous situations caused by it

Health (10)

  • Site smoking rules are being followed

  • All operatives are protected from excessive vibration 1

  • All operatives are working in acceptable conditions (low stress, pressure etc)

  • All operatives are being protected from excessive dust levels

  • All operatives are working safely with no excessive manual handling situations

Environment & Public Health (12)

  • Drip trays getting used with generators and spill kit available

  • All hazardous materials are secured

  • All COSHH assessments are being followed

  • All soil, air or waterways are contaminant free (caused by FREDS)

  • The public is being protected from the effects of all FREDS works
