Site Inspection Checklist

 • Is the area covered by a progressive ESCP?

 • Are the listed controls identified within the ESCP being installed?

 • Are the identified sediment and erosion controls consistent to the level of environmental risk?
• Are the listed controls relevant/adequate to the current phase of construction (Progressive implemented)

 • Have all the listed controls been installed?
• Have additional areas been located that are in need of erosion control.
• Have the controls been installed in the correct locations?
• Does the PESCP require updating

 • Is weather monitoring taking place to enable the installation of additional controls as outlined in the PESCP?

 • All ESC measures are in proper working order.
• Adequate stockpiles of emergency ESC materials exist on site.
• Entry/exit drop pads/ grids clear of excessive sediment deposition.

 • Drainage lines are free of soil scour and sediment deposition.
• Are there any visible contaminants (Hydrocarbon sheen) within captured water
• Are there any area that require water testing and dewatering?
• Has there been any uncontrolled contaminated water discharges from site?

 • Have contaminated soil material been stockpiled been separately?
• Long-term soil stockpiles are protected from wind, rain and stormwater flow
with appropriate drainage and erosion controls.
• Site dust is being adequately controlled.
• Are sediment basins below 70% capacity?

 • Sediment controls placed up-slope/around stormwater inlets are appropriate
for the type of inlet structure.
• All sediment traps are free of excessive sediment deposition.
• Has any sediment been placed outside the construction boundary?
