Daytime Checks- Air Temperatures

  • Air Temperature- Activity areas (should be 20 degrees)

  • Air Temperature- Reception/Crèche (should be 21 degrees)

  • Air Temperature- Sports hall (should be 20degrees)

  • Air Temperature- Studio (should be 19degrees)

  • Pool Hall 1- Air temperature 1c below the main pool temp (air temperature not to exceed the main pool temperature).

  • Pool Hall 2- Air temperature 1c below the main pool temp (air temperature not to exceed the main pool temperature).

Daytime Checks- AC units

  • Are AC unit controls all set to 19 degrees around the building?

  • All staff on shift told to not run AC units from 10am to 3pm unless outdoor temperatures is higher than 21 degrees.

  • Turn AC off if the area is not in use or outside recommended hours: Sports Hall

  • Turn AC off if the area is not in use or outside recommended hours: Studio

  • Turn AC off if the area is not in use or outside recommended hours: Offices

  • Turn AC off if the area is not in use or outside recommended hours: Reception/Corridors

Daytime Checks- AHU units

  • Check AHU schedules on BMS to make sure they only come on 30 mins before opening.

  • Check AHU schedules on BMS to make sure they turn off after the building closes to the public.

  • Check AHU’s variable speed drives are running at 80% throughout the day.

  • Check Swimming pool AHU’s are set at 30% outside of opening hours.

Daytime checks-Pool Temperatures

  • Is your main pool temperature at 27 degrees ?

  • Is your teaching pool temperature at 29 degrees ?

Daytime checks-Plant Room

  • Swimming pool circulation pumps with variable speed drives are set to 80% when the pool is open to the public.

  • If pools have UV then is chlorine running at 0.5-1.0ppm?

  • Is DM backwashing to filter pressure and not daily ?

  • Is DM only topping up pool when TDS is high or in emergency situations?

  • Any leaks in plant room?

Daytime Checks- Heating

  • Is heating off in unused/non essential areas?

  • Boiler primary circuit set at 70 degrees?

  • Hot water storage set at 60 degrees?

  • Heat recovery at 75% recovery and 25% fresh air (this can be checked on BMS).

  • Is the CHP running correctly?

  • Is all plant controls in auto ?

Closing checks

  • Swimming pool circulation pumps with variable speed drives are set to 70% when the pool is closed at night.

  • Is the main pool covers on before leaving the building.

  • Is the small pool cover on before leaving the building.

  • Is Spa pool cover on before leaving the building.

  • Are all AC units turned off when leaving the building.

  • Are all lights in the building turned off when leaving the building.

  • Is the CHP still running okay before leaving ?
