Construction

  • 5. Side clearance of trench to pipe as on IFC Drawings

  • 6. Pipes being installed are clean.

  • 7. Adequate Thrust restraint.

  • 8. Correct approved back fill material is being used.

  • 9. Correct layers of back fill material is placed to achieve compaction requirements.

  • 10. Correct method of compaction of trenches.

  • 11. Swabs are inserted, numbered and photographed.

  • 12. Damage to property services are repaired (Stormwater, Sprinklers etc.)

  • 13. Damage to nature strips repaired.

Connection

  • 1. Swabbing done and swabs removed and photographed.

  • 2. Water quality tests are approved.

  • 3. Shut down notices for connection are submitted.

  • 4. Galvanised services are replaced with Copper/Pressure PE pipe with a trace wire connected from ferrule to copper tail before meter (safety controls working around metallic services in place).

  • 5. Ferrules are turned on.

  • 6. Property garden tap flushed.
