  • Was voltage within acceptable range?

  • Test each battery with the company-provided ELK Battery tester. Result SHALL be greater than 71% of original Reference Reading ((Reference reading - current reading)/Reference reading). If this is a new installation, record Mhos result on the battery label as the Reference Reading.

  • Was the percentage greater than 71%?

  • Mhos of battery on left

  • Voltage of battery on left

  • Mhos of battery on right

  • Voltage of battery on right

Annunciator Operation

  • Verify operation of remote annunciators.

  • Did annunciators function properly?

Initiating Devices

  • Test all initiating devices. While performing this portion of the inspection, verify required life safety functions (i.e. air handler shutdown, door holder release, elevator recall, magnetic locks release, etc.).

  • Did all initiating devices function properly?

  • Did required life safety functions operate properly?

Notification Appliances

  • While system is in an alarm condition, and NOT silenced, check operation of all notification appliances.

  • Did all notification appliances function properly?

Off Premise Transmission
