  • 9.10 - Where required are emergency shut-down procedures in place?

10.0 - Chemical Safety

  • 10.1 - Hazardous Substance Register complete and available? (Chemwatch Version)

  • 10.2 - Are current (less than 5 years old) Material Safety Data Sheets available for all chemicals? (From Chemwatch)

  • 10.4 - All containers labelled correctly?

  • 10.8 - Workers trained in the use of hazardous substances?

  • 10.9 - If required is PPE available?

  • 10.10 - Is adequate ventilation provided?

  • 10.11 - Are eye washes and showers easily accessed?

11.0 Ladders

  • 11.1 - Are all ladders Industrial strength? (120 KG minimum load, Not domestic rated.)

  • 11.2 - Are ladders in good condition? (non-slip treads, non-slip feet)

  • 11.3 - Ladders to mezzanine floors extend 1 metre above floor and are at 1:4 angle?

  • 11.4 - Platform style ladders are used when both hands are needed for task?

  • 11.5 - If used for electrical work are they non conductive? (Wood or fibre glass.)

12.0 - First Aid Facilities

  • 12.1 - Are cabinets and contents clean and orderly?

  • 12.2 - Are contents regularly checked?

  • 12.3 - No contents past their expiry date?

  • 12.4 - Cabinets clearly labelled?

  • 12.5 - Is there easy access to cabinets?

13.0 - Office Hazards

  • 13.8 - Floor coverings in good condition? (no loose edges or wrinkled carpet)

14.0 - Traffic Management

  • 14.1 - Are there controls in place to separate traffic and pedestrians? (walkways, barriers, signs?)<br>This includes forklifts and mobile plant.

  • 14.2 - There are no blind spots for pedestrians eg. doors opening into traffic?

15.0 - Amenities

  • 15.1 - Is there a clean are for staff to eat and take breaks?
