    It is a WHS requirement that a Risk Assessment is completed for every task, this is done before a job is started.
    This will be separate to any site specific inductions that may be required.
    The subcontractor will complete the audit in full and all evidence that is collected such as photos and comments made by customers will be documented.

General Safety

  • Was a Risk Assessment carried out before the subcontractor started the job?

  • Is the SWMS reflected in the work practice and does the subcontractor have all necessary PPE to complete the job safely?

  • You must stop the job until you have the correct PPE and either downloaded a copy of the SWMS to your tablet or have a hard copy in your vehicle.

  • Were all safety procedures followed?

  • Explain why some safety procedures were not followed?

Height Safety

  • Did the subcontractor access the roof and wear a Harness?

  • List the PPE used with the Harness.

  • Is the Harness in good condition & has the Harness been inspected in the last 6 months?

  • Advise the subcontractor to have their Harness inspected

  • Were tools & materials secured while on roof?

  • Were the correct tools used for the task?

  • Explain why a Harness was not used, this is an WHS breach if the subcontractor was working at height without Fall Restraint

Ladder Safety

  • Was a Ladder used on the Inspection?

  • Is the ladder in good condition?

  • Advise the subcontractor to have their Ladder replaced

  • Was the ladder appropriate for the task?

  • Did the subcontractor have 3 points of contact while using the ladder

  • Was the ladder secured?

  • Did the ladder extend 900mm past the landing?

  • Explain why the ladder was not secured, this is an WHS breach if the subcontractor was working at height without securing the ladder

Electrical Safety

  • Were power tools used?

  • Do the power tools have current Tag & Tested dates?

  • Have you advised the subcontractor of the fail and the need to have the power tools tested
