  • Are any required exclusion zones, safety zones, barriers etc in place and working effectively?

  • Are tools appropriately tethered (where required)

  • Is there clear access and egress to our works (ground conditions, obstructions, etc)

  • Are there any overhead cables (powerlines, BT) or overhead obstructions and if so safe system of work in place?

  • Welfare - are there client facilities or transient welfare arrangements in place?

  • Noise (nuisance) - are there any restrictions on use of ratchet tools, and if so spanners being used?

  • Protection - is scaffold foam protected up to 2m (where required)?

  • Ladders/access - ladders not damaged and lashed with 6mm cord, ladder guard fitted with padlock, or staircases secured and locked?

  • Housekeeping - work area organised and tidy, no fittings left on ground, materials safely stacked/stored?

  • Scaff-tags - fitted with correct information or "pulled incomplete no not use" during erection or defects?

  • Vehicle (falls) - harness being used for gantry access, no persons standing on buck / load area without fall protection?

PPE
