Training Requirements

  • The location has completed an HSE Trainings Need Assessment Matrix ?

  • The HSE Training Need Assessment Matrix is current. A documented review is performed annually ?

  • The HSE Training Needs Assessment Matrix is reviewed and updated in conjunction with conjunction with changes to operational scope, risk or legal and other requiements

  • Training materials reflect existing operational scope. Competent trainers are identified as required through legal and other requirements.

  • All necessary resources have been identified, communicated and appropriately allocated.

  • An annual HSE Training Plan has been developed and implemented.

  • Appropriate training is provided to new and/or reassigned employees at the start of their assignment. Processes are in place to validate training effectiveness

  • Training programs are updated at a minimum of every three years. Training programs updated, as required, to provide accurate content

  • Training programs are maintained and they document the subject, delivery method, and name and qualification of the trainer (if delivered by an individual).

  • Training records are maintained, including applicable competency assessments. Training records contain the name and job title or classification of those who received training, name of the training program and the date the training was received.
