Precautions

  • UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS DECANTING OF PRODUCT TO BE STARTED, PPE MUST BE WORN! This includes the connection of hoses and tank top-cap removal.

  • Select Required PPE for task

  • -Only trained and authorised persons permitted to operate
    -Report all faults to your supervisor
    -DO NOT attempt to undertake any repairs
    -Follow the manufacturers instructions for
    -Use the correct lifting technique ( See manual handling document )
    -Operators must not operate equipment whilst under influence if alcohol or drugs.
    -Operators must inform their supervisor if they are taking prescribed medication that may cause drowsiness or affect their judgement

Process Only trained operators are permitted to undertake this task. Operator must follow manufacturers instructions

  • Are the wash gloves present?

  • Are the hoses ( with all plastic bowser) in good working condition? <br>

  • Camlocks fittings are in good working order?

  • Operator knows how to turn the valve off at the tank end, if they are altering or checking anything?

  • Operator demonstrates how to empty bowser line into waste basket

  • Operator is displays how to rinse gloves and remove PPE.

  • Are the caps fitted correctly

  • Have each bottle been tested for a leak test

  • Have each bottle been rinsed with water to ensure no acid is present on the exterior of the bottle?

  • Has the operator dried the bottle and applied the correct classification label to the bottle? <br>(Please attach photo of label)
